Watercolor Wash

A watercolor wash is an excellent way to get started with watercolors. It's a simple technique that involves applying a layer of watered-down paint to your paper. You can experiment with different colors and blending techniques to create beautiful and unique effects.

To create a watercolor wash, wet your brush and load it with paint. Then, paint a horizontal stroke across your paper, starting at the top and moving down. Rinse your brush and repeat the process, slightly overlapping the previous stroke. Continue until you reach the bottom of the paper. Once the wash is dry, you can grab a fine liner or a pen and draw some doodles over it.

Watercolor flower

Painting flowers is a classic watercolor project that is perfect for beginners. You can experiment with different colors, shapes, and techniques to create a variety of beautiful flowers.

To paint a watercolor flower, start by painting a circle for the center of the flower. Then, paint petals around the circle, using a lighter color for the inside of the petals and a darker color for the outside. Add details such as the stem, leaves, and additional flowers if desired. Another way is to go loose and paint loose florals which is my favorite method and I enjoy it the most. You can watch my tutorial video to try loose watercolor flowers.

To paint a watercolor butterfly, start by painting the body and head of the butterfly using a thin brush.
